Harmonies Of Love

January 31, 2024

There comes a time when we heed a certain call
When the world must come together as one

By the end of the night, Diana Ross was in tears. So was I.

Together with forty-five other amazing and iconic musical artists, Diana had just recorded We Are The World. In just one night. When they were finished, Diana wept because she didn’t want it to be over. The pure magic of that night in 1985 shines through the documentary video just released on Netflix, The Greatest Night In Pop.

I was in tears from the beauty and power of the message. Tears of joy. Tears of longing for that message to be more present in our current collective consciousness. Where is the music, where are the voices that can bring us together, that can bring us back to the power and possibility of love in the world?

Well, send’em you your heart
So they know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let’s start giving
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me

It was almost forty years ago and many of the artists are no longer with us. But the legacy they leave is powerful. A legacy of giving voice to love and hope. A legacy for us to embrace and embody. No, most of us are not singers. But we have many ways to make our voices heard. And the world needs those voices more than ever, needs us to come together as one.

The world needs our harmonies of love.

Keeping The Faith

January 23, 2024

My dad was a scientist. He retired as the Dean of Science at a major state university where I grew up surrounded by the science community. And since, like most sacred traditions, my beliefs lack the scientific rigor of empirical proof, we didn’t talk much about my spiritual journey. Until he died. Since then our conversations have been beyond anything I could have imagined.

I’ve been talking with Dad through an intuitive. Lucas is amazing and has also offered powerful insights on this journey of the awakening Light in Ireland. From the first session, Dad has been adamant that I explore our family’s mystical heritage in Ireland. I’ve mentioned some of this in prior posts. And in a session with Lucas yesterday, I was reminded that my blood line, especially through my father, was no stranger to ancient magic.

As I spend time with those who join me in Ireland for the sacred gatherings, I find this is also true for many of them. For when we open to the soul call, it’s often an echo coming down to us through our biological lineage. A soul call embedded in our very DNA.

We are awakening to and remembering those in our lineage, our tribe, who kept the faith for their people, who kept the sacred truth connection alive. And whether we name it Light Working or Light Walking or Faith Keeping, we are called to manifest that energy for our people, our tribe. And the world.

In many traditional tribal cultures, one member of the tribe
assumes the role of Faithkeeper. This person’s role is to remain at peace, centered in spiritual vision, no matter what events befall the tribe. Even if everyone else in the tribe slips into pain, fear, or dissension, the Faithkeeper is the one person the tribe can rely on as a lifeline to the Presence, the Sacred Truth.

We are called to keep the faith. We are called to be Faithkeepers.

Workers & Walkers

January 21, 2024

Light Worker. I’ve heard this phrase for years. Yet I find myself resonating more with Light Walker as I don’t consider this path to be about working as much as holding and being and manifesting the energy as it flows from us and through us.

Whichever resonates for you is wonderful as you claim and celebrate this energy in your life. It’s the essence of it that is powerful and important. Working or walking, we are called to this sacred manifestation.

Light Walkers are deeply aware

that they are evolving to a new
and expanded level of awareness
and consciousness.

They live life in relationship with spiritual and mystical principles
and, as mystic, are dedicated to integrating those worlds and principles to create beauty, abundance and wellbeing in their lives
 and the lives of others.

The path of the Light Walker
is one of awakening into
a fuller remembrance of
our authentic spiritual identity.

Slipping Into Darkness

January 19, 2024

Slippin’ into darkness
Take my mind beyond the dreams

For those of a certain age, these lyrics will immediately evoke the music. A song about a slide to insanity, it’s appropriate that the band that created this 1971 piece is named War. In these tumultuous times it does seem there’s a cultural and even global slide to insanity as so many are at war with each other…and themselves.

And we wonder. What can be done? What can we do? Of course there are things we can do. But perhaps the most important is holding the Light for others as an essential aspect of who we are and how we choose to show up in the world.

This is the path of Light Walker.
This is the path of Faithkeeper.
