Wisdom is not about knowing everything,
but about embracing the mystery.
In such a remembering,
we will form a deeper connection,
to the universe – 
weaving threads through time
that bind all souls in the 
grand cosmic dance.
It is about the dance.
The universal cosmic dance.

Within the harmony of energy fields that flow through the natural world and cosmic realms, there are patterns. Ancient and eternal. Patterns of how the trees are trees. Patterns of how the stones are stones. Patterns of feather, fur, and fin. Patterns of celestial movement. Patterns of how to be human if we are willing to remember. If we are willing to embrace the mystery and open to a deeper connection.

Years ago, I became very aware that within the universal consciousness our patterns are recognized. For we are part of that consciousness even if our participation is often oblivious. When I broke my leg coming down from Maeve’s Cairn in Sligo, it didn’t feel at all that I had slipped on the loose stones. I just tipped over. Later, one of my spiritual teachers would tell me that the Earth spirits of that place recognized my DNA pattern to be the pattern of one of my biological ancestors that had defiled this place and deeply offended the spirits of the place. So they pushed me. The following year I returned to offer a ceremony of reconciliation.

Reconciliation with cosmic patterns doesn’t have to be quite so dramatic. But it is essential to come back into a place of harmony and wholeness with the energies in the natural world and other realms. When we dance the sacred harmonies and patterns, we are whole.
